Types of Caricatures
Aloha and welcome to my site. I have been in the airbrush and caricature business since the mid eighties-early nineties.
Caricatures- simply put, is one of my greatest passions in the world of art. I love being with a crowd and having fun with my customers. I hope I can make a smile for you one day.
I can do caricatures several ways!
The Black Marker Caricature. This where I use a Copic Brush Pen/Marker and draw onto a 11x14 card stock paper. My latest is digitally. I utilize a laptop computer, tablet and software that enables me to virtually simulate any painting techniques including pastels, charcoal, watercolor, oil painting even airbrushing, and let's not to forget the special effects that could be added, and printer. Additionally, the printed sheet can be preset with your logos, themes, slogans or convention and year title!
I do three levels of Caricatures.
1. The quick sketch: a 1-2 minute head shot also called a "bust" or 3-4 minute full body pose, usually done for parties or events.
3. The Painted Caricature" which is a high end caricature, almost always painted in acrylic on canvas or illustration board this is more a fine art piece as it rendered with careful attention to detail, canvas size starts at 16x20. This piece of art may take longer to do as it is commissioned work. Please call for more information.
